These terms apply to michaelstuartthompson.com and to any original artwork bought from Michael Stuart Thompson, an independent artist in Georgetown, Kentucky ("Mike", "we"). By using the site or buying a piece, you agree to them.

Original artwork

Every piece is a one-of-a-kind original, signed, and sold with a certificate of authenticity. Photos are taken to show each work as accurately as possible, but colors and textures can look different on different screens. Sizes are listed width by height, in inches.

Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars. Applicable sales tax is added where the law requires it. A piece is yours once full payment is received. If two people try to buy the same piece, the first completed payment wins and any other payment is refunded in full. Payment plans on originals $500 and up are arranged by email, and their terms are confirmed in writing before the first payment. A piece is delivered once it is paid in full.

Delivery and shipping

Mike delivers and hangs pieces for free in Georgetown and the surrounding area, including Lexington. Everywhere else, shipping is quoted per piece before payment, and pieces are packed and shipped with insurance and tracking.

Returns

You can return an original within 14 days of delivery for a full refund of the purchase price. Email [email protected] before sending it back so we can arrange the return. The piece must come back in the condition it was delivered, carefully packed, with insured and tracked shipping paid by you. Refunds go to your original payment method within 7 business days of the piece arriving back. Shipping charges are not refunded. If a piece arrives damaged, email photos within 48 hours of delivery, keep the packaging, and we’ll make it right through the shipping insurance.

Copyright

Mike keeps the copyright to every artwork and every image on this site. Buying an original gives you the physical piece, not the right to reproduce it, make prints, or use its image commercially. You're welcome to share photos of your piece on social media.

Using this site

Don't copy, scrape or reuse the site's images or text without written permission. The site is provided as is, and we aren't liable for indirect losses from using it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
